Both are good.
If you pick Selenium, you’ll get hired easily since Selenium automation engineers are always in high demand. However, your entry-level salary would be lower since the skill is quite commoditized. You also have to compete with an army of Selenium engineers out there.
If you choose RPA tools like Automation Anywhere and UiPath, you’ll move into a more niche market so your salary would be a bit higher. However, there are not many open positions since not a lot of enterprises come to realize the benefits of RPA and invest in it. Admittedly, that’s going to change. More and more enterprises jump on board, partially thanks to the headlines below.
